Welcome to Season 6 of Crosstix! We’re thrilled to welcome back all returning members and are equally excited to introduce new faces to the 2025 Crosstix season. Whether your child is a seasoned performer or new to the group, we’re here to provide a creative and supportive environment where kids can grow, learn, and most importantly—have fun!

What is CROSSTIX?

Crosstix is an energetic performing ensemble for kids ages 8-15 in the Omaha area, offering a fun chance to learn, rehearse, and perform with members of OSP. No prior percussion experience is needed! Crosstix performs original music created by OSP instructors, using recycled items like buckets, trash cans, and pots and pans as percussion instruments. Kids will have multiple opportunities to perform in front of friends and family, showcasing their skills in various settings. Being part of Crosstix means feeling like a true rockstar while making music in a unique, creative way.

Time Commitment?

Rehearsals for Crosstix will take place on Saturday mornings. (Please refer to the detailed schedule for specific dates and times.) Group rehearsals will run from March 22nd to May 17th, with no rehearsal on April 19th. Performances will be scheduled throughout the summer.

We understand that life can get busy, and conflicts may arise on certain dates. While we don’t expect perfect attendance, we do want to ensure that all members are able to participate in the majority of rehearsals and performances. If you anticipate needing to miss more than two rehearsals or shows, Crosstix may not be the best fit for your child this year.

Tuition and Fees

The tuition for the 2025 Crosstix season will be $60 per month for 5 months. You will be billed in 5 installments of $60, spread out over the season. The first installment will be paid during registration, covering the month of March.

What does tuition cover?

  • All rehearsals — You’ll have access to every practice session to perfect your skills.
  • All performances — The cost of performing at events is included, so you can show off your hard work!
  • Quality instruction — Learn from multiple talented members of OSP, who will guide you through every step.
  • Crosstix t-shirt — Every member receives an exclusive, members-only Crosstix performance t-shirt.
  • A fun and supportive environment — Crosstix is a place where everyone is treated equally, promoting creativity, self-confidence, and a love for music.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! Crosstix if for kids of all talented levels and musical experience.

We are open to parents sitting in during rehearsals as spectators only. We ask that you allow your child the independence to work with us and with other students. We will not allow parents to give instruction or to interfere in any way during rehearsals.

No, Your first installment of $60 will be paid during registration. There will be 4 more installments scheduled throughout the season, about 4 weeks apart. These installments will be billed via email and can be paid by either credit/debit card or PayPal.

We understand that summer time is a very busy time for everyone. In order to have a quality experience, it’s important that your child attends the majority of rehearsals and shows. If you think you will miss more than two rehearsals and shows, then Crosstix may not be the best fit. Please list any dates that might be in question in the registration form provided.
